To do degree/higher education or not.
I consider this as a shaddi ka laddo type equation. what we dont experiance we consider the good sides of it, what we do experiance we consider the bad sides of it. those saying no to degree are mostly degree holders who dont feel it added value. those saying yes to degree like yourself either feels it could add or it added value.
One funny thing about this world is that most of the folks are not talking to others in most of these sharing scenarios they are talking to themselves convincing themselves of whatever they are proclaiming (applies to you and me also). If i dont see value in my education i would tell others dont do degree see i didnt learned anything good from it and i turned out to be okey. (put this in what i said just now’s context and you will see what i mean).
so to do degree or not here is my take.
- if you can afford it, do it. gives you structured flow and forces you to look at a topic for a block of time.
- if you cant afford it, dont go bankcrupt for it. may be do it along with job.
- If you feel you dont need degree be ready to learn in an unstructured manner using your own enthusiasm and no one to ask questions (the whole world to ask questions is as good as no one to ask questions)
